DoubleTree by Hilton Helena Downtown

The rooms are clean, spacious for a downtown location, and the pool/spa was nice. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. But we did have to listen to multiple anti-conservative conversations by hotel staff, that makes things uncomfortable when surrounded by so much mental illness. The hotel is within walking distance of a lot of fun places, shops, and food.

Our room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and the staff was above and beyond friendly. One of my best hotel stays in a very long time.

This is my second stay here. Always very clean, the location is GREAT for exploring downtown, and the staff are always super nice.

This is the best hotel in town. I stay here whenever I travel to Helena, and the staff are always friendly and professional. They are very helpful, rooms are clean, and the breakfast is fantastic. John L., the General Manager, is one of the nicest folks you’ll meet. Great place to stay.

Wow let me say first say I stay at Hiltons all the time and I have never had better customer service than John at the front desk. This talented team member really helped me out in a jam. I am so grateful. This property is so lucky to have him. Great all around stay!

I stayed here for 4 nights in Sept 2025 for a vacation to Helena. I could not have enjoyed my stay any more than I did and I would absolutely stay here again. The entire staff was extra friendly, helpful, and professional. Not a day went by that they didn't go above and beyond to do little extra requests for me. The hotel is in a perfect location attached to the pedestrian mall in downtown Helena and is a short, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, shops, souvenir places, and bar & grills. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept, and the housekeeper that worked on my floor was very pleasant and was glad to help with requests like extra Keurig cups, glasses, etc that I asked for. Joy, who is one of the managers, and was at the front desk much of the time, was always helpful and accommodating. Even the two young men, Chase and Cash, who drove me around when needed, and provided the hotel pickup and drop-off at the airport in the hotel shuttle, were both very nice and friendly and contributed to the enjoyment of my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Although the place has been around for some time now, the rooms are updated nicely. The workout room was nicely appointed and well kept. We didn’t use the pool while staying here and noticed that the hot tub appears to be inoperable. The lobby store is stocked well and the front counter service was great. We were disappointed with our breakfast though as a tour group before us left very little options for the $15 buffet price.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to the GM, John Lytle! We had a group staying there for a retreat. I found out the restaurant we had reservations at was not open and panicked. Luckily, John overheard and quickly got us a reservation at another location. He went above and beyond his duties for us. Saved my bacon, is what he did! :-) The hotel itself is absolutely lovely, the staff was professional, tidy and smiley. Thank you so much for accommodating our large group!
